Sonnet (Work in progress) by Travis G FinborgBreakfast broke through my softly wakened sight
and here I thought nothing would change my world
Images flash a million times, all curled
I sat distraught at the outlook, contrite
I need some sypathy, break from this fright
an outside force, a power to unfurl
breaking my discontent, i have been hurled
in this blind alley that leads where it might
Exuberance is drained nearly futile
apathy rules the remains of my strife
a salmon that falls short of the spawning
this is the remains of my empty life
to think this is it raises my bile
at the end i am left wanting 07/23/2007 Author's Note: This is more of a writing expirement then a serious attempt at a sonnet. Trying to get used to the rythm and the rhyming scheme. Anyway any critiques are welcome.
