Leave The Ending To Dust And Time by Dan KastenWhen I look deep into your iris through to your soul
I see you being pulled in every direction but mine
the time you have used to think about the weather
contemplating how crabgrass and winter wheat
find shelter from the wind has been supplanted
by more philosophical and deliberate concerns
when I see you looking back in awe at the wake youve caused
and pray to those select few who may be wiser than you
you know precisely why the seasons change when they do
perceptive enough to leave the ending to dust and time. 11/30/2005 Author's Note: An old favorite, dusted off.

| Posted by Gregory O'Neill on 07/21/07 at 03:28 AM Hi Dan. The human mind cannot create anything. It produces nothing until after having been fertilized by experience and meditation; its acquisitions are the germs of its production. But, it would seem that which comes after, ever conforms to that which has gone before. Terrific write. Thanks. |

I love reading your poetry because you are so excellent with stretching my mind to see meaning within meaning within, and on-forth it (your poetry) travels. And on-forth we travel alongside. |
