Aching toTouch Her by Genevieve Sturrockwould that i were a god
with hands large enough
to reach out and grasp
the earth
for my fingers ache with
the desire
to hold her curves
and caress her shape
under the palm of my hand
to feel her texture
under my fingertips
smooth and cool
rough, sandy, grassy 07/20/2007
Author's Note: driving from new mexico to arizona, this is all i could think about. my palms are still itching from my desire to stroke the landscape. the ending needs something....but i'm kinda stuck. any suggestions?
thanks for the feedback, i've re-written this and posted it under the title "Lusting for Mother Earth"

Posted by Tom Goss on 07/20/07 at 04:04 PM Great start - I think the ending may be in somewhere in your note: "palms... still itch... from my desire to stroke the landscape" - that is either a title or an ending, though I'm not sure which ;)- Perhaps you should ask the sky? |
Posted by Alison McKenzie on 07/24/07 at 02:36 PM I can easily imagine, since you've given "earth" such sensuous features, "earth's" response to that touch...Lovely!!! |
