The End if the Call

by Emma Turtle

Just one ring.
Mumbled voices I hear through the floorboards.
A whirl wind of passion and emotion,
Unfolding in a heated fight.
Maybe someone should tell her.
Maybe someone should tell him.
There the ring again.

The voice cracks with passion.
Reliving the fairytale in her mind.
The happiness that has long been lost.
One desperate leap of faith,
Will they pull through.
Again the ring.

A comparison to thier relationship.
Pick up, Put down.
Pick up, Put down.
The emotion gets the better of her,
You can see it in her voice.
The crystal clear pain, rolling down her cheek.

Yet theres a ring.
This time, thats it, the pain turns to anger.
Will she be defeated. Will she ever feel the happiness she craves.

Then theres nothing, Not a sound.
Is it the end?
Is it a pause, a breath a thought.
Or is it-
The end of the call.
