a cliché Ill use anyway
this life is all youll ever live
embrace it no matter what you make
happiness will follow those who give
rather from those who take
We all arise from the same mud
destiny rides you back one day
so wear rose colored glasses
and listen
with eyes and ears some God did give
life will fill your cup with joy
and the ability to love
and forgive

This piece reminds me of something my spiritual adviser sent me, "Better to light a candle than curse the darkness." It's a saying I try to bring to the forefront of my mind often.
