Even though you think
your life is an endless cycle
mine was once too
yet now there is
a patternless pattern forming
where everyday is different
for better or worse
and the learning curve
makes it all more interesting
and even hurtful
when all you want to happen
is lovely love's loving arms
wrapping around my waist
or arm even,
holding me tight
all day all night,
helping me remember
how much we mean
to each other
