i can't write it down
and i can't shout it out
or even whisper it

and i can't stop it
from squealing
and whooshing inside my head

maybe telling me
the secrets of the universe
the cure for cancer
and lonliness
and experience
all wrapped up
and there for me to hear
loud and clearer than water

if it would just speak my language
