psalm nut rose and acorn by Shirin Swift
child we shall become
acorn rose nut and psalm
we shall christmas patient
light our prayers aside the bell
inside our teddybears
we shall become child
psalm nut rose and acorn
babe we shall become
intimate with fear
the night-light and rites
on fairy wings we'll write
our wish list to father nick
using no conjunction
except just before the end
acorn rose nut and psalm
we shall become babe
again just before the end
