Jump Rope

by A. Paige White

I saw Him in the morning light
The light of a fast dawn
After the giddy giggles
in passing by pacing
a blue lighted speed trap

He's jumping rope!
With the joy of a child
in an energy catching
mischieviousness unparalleled
and we ain't seen nothing yet.

He's happy! He's joyous! He's free!
He delights in the games of children
Spinning and spinning
bounding and bouncing ever higher
Forever in His joy I shall be.

A child.
His child.

Author's Note: Thank you, Lord, for stirring the water.
***He had the exact same grin on his face he had when he told Abraham, "You're going to have a big family, Abraham." I just LOVE that grin! It's so full of mischievious understatement ;-}

Isn't it nice to be one of His children!!! Once again I like this poem for its simplicity but strong message of showing He is all around us in all that we do! :>

I can see the laughing messiah, simple and yet so full of understanding....that must be where the mischief comes in. Lovely, Paige!
