My Tormented Mind

by Jeffrey Parren

Over the years
my tormented mind
of self infliction
and peer driven daggers
has led me to momentary
factious uprisings
when my body decides
where I go
what I do
how it happens
because instinct
is more natural
than the reasoning mind
of a human
that is easily driven insane,
when "reasoning"
becomes a loosely used term.

It soothes my tormented mind, lol, so very much to see thoughts I could have written, *grins* and the word of the day thrown in, to boot! Awesome to read a fellow word nerd. Thanks for the chuckles!
