Such A Strange And New Dance by Dan KastenSuch a new and strange dance
as I remembered at the time
you took comfort in green tea and dark chocolate
looking out your window to the east to catch a glimpse
of anything from the past hour that could be declared a sign
from a God who has better things to do right now
and right now is the key, as for now he has planted
a smile on your face as a guardian from those
who would harm you north or south of your realm, giving you reason
to return amongst days previously indistinguishable. 06/14/2007 Posted on 06/27/2007 Copyright © 2025 Dan Kasten

... a guardian from those
who would harm you north or south of your realm ...
