to live

to play
the cards
I've been dealt

There's always something to suggest that we'll never be who others want us to be. Our choice is to accept that or keep on moving. Much peace to you, my friend.

I know the feeling, Joan. And you pour it over the page in this poem in a completely real plight form. I can feel it thunking in my chest.

update! The kids at the Center (above comment) have been writing & painting their feelings on the poetry wall, much to their & my delight. And I love this poem. ;)
