I have gotten into the habit
setting lofty goals so high
that even when I go halfway
I couldn't be happier
because at least I strive
and get off my past
easily a downer
and even a reason to stop
but I know I will never give in
and that is the beauty
my goals make me strive
so that even the heights so high
may seem unreachable
that halfway twice
is just as good as one time, once.
