walking alone by Charlie Morgan
walking alone my worries get heavy;
jerking my shoulders up and away so as
to not appear as australopithecus and
for the moment i sigh; she is Mother.
a rock of life borrowed for the living.
a haven,
pillaged by fret and worried anticipation.
a nor'wester blows my childhood away as
i wonder if the world is flat or ovate.
pondering: this life and one more, whew!
an elevator of understanding is empty,
no numbered floors so let the door close.
gravity settles me down like ocean rocks.

I'm bipedal too. Sappy for homosapiens genus writs. Definitely a southern ape! hehee... Just call me Lucy 2. enjoyed it Chaz! |
