When you rip out pages
from my notebook
you are ripping a part of me
and I know it sounds silly
but that little notebook
contains parts of me
my ideas and dreams
so for you to just tear away
diminishing the value
of your own words
you just wrote
you tear away pages of me
that I can never get back.
