it's all just a little bit of history repeating

by Brynn Dizack

i love you but i think it's over. i mean,
i think it ended
that night, while we were
waiting for the teeter flowers to come
and make our choices for a little while.

i think it's something you've been trying to tell me
for a long time.

but disconect
ing is harder

when you are clos
e.

some
times
i remem
ber how we
were.

and how much
i love
d
you.

a cluster of a thousand birds is
breaking and dissolving slowly into
the sky. it must be so lovely to be
removed from this chaos,.

to make that choice.

Author's Note:

this is not my strongest writing. but, this is not my strongest time, either.

It's certainly not your weakest writing... It's just not your usual these days. It's quite good, though. I'm sorry things are so tough, take care of yourself.

I think it's really strong. Though to be honest, I see its greatest strength as maybe being a spoken word sort of deal. But I could be completely wrong on that. In any case, it's great work.

i like the way you separate 'love' and 'd' with that line break. i always try to explain away the fact that love and loved are so close. you said it much easier than i have.
