Listening

I have heard in other discussions
ones I'm not privy to, allegedly
somewhere there is laughter and light hearted love
somewhere other than where I've been trailing around
in my disoriented mass of confusion,
or is that actual clarity?
and I'm the one with the keys,
ha!

tell me I'm wrong, I dare you
breathed revelations smeared under nakedness of cover
quiet, they'll hear us
come closer than this
and I'll show you the answer you've needed ...

entreat me and maybe I'll reply
but never on cue,
without rhythm
of the soul beat
synchronous
or no deal ...

how could there be any other?
