Negative Infinity

by Rebecca Lin

What's your limit
as you approach complete
and utter irrationality?

I can't graph your
insanity,
the amount of time
you devote to being obsessed with scores.
It would go beyond rational numbers.

You're annoying to the degree
that it's unfathomable.
The roots of your generosity
are imaginary.

Stop pretending to like writing.
You could never be a soliloquy;
you're more of a chemistry equation,
something that makes no sense to me.

& that's perfectly fine.
Be whatever you want to be,
just don't lie about your identity.

Left brain, right brain,
insane
in the
membrane.

You chose quantity over quality,
and I'm sick of listening.
I know you want to know everything
equal up to everything,
but right now I think
you're worth
negative infinity.

Author's Note: Um this is just plain weird. Do I get math extra credit, teach?

I'd hook you up. Heh. Nice work.

I'd say this is one of the BEST poems you've ever written! That could just be because I'm a math person, but I doubt it. It's really so clever and meaningful! P.S.- Leyhane would soo give you extra credit.
