Ladder my Love in Bubble Scrub by Meagan Green
The ladder becomes the wall, becomes the house, becomes the tower.
The ladder shakes, the wall breaks, the house is haunted, and the tower leans.
So again the ladder becomes the wall, becomes the house, becomes the tower.
The ladder breaks, the walls shake, the house falls, and the tower is bombed.
The ladder becomes the wall, becomes the house, becomes the tower.
The ladder makes what the wall breaks, and the house screams the tower's dreams.
The tower becomes the house, becomes the wall, becomes the ladder.
The tower took what the walls shook when the ladder leaned too roughly on the house.
The tower became the house, became the wall, became the ladder.
The ladder forgot the hammer! The ladder hammers, the wall towers, the house died.
The tower becomes the sky, becomes the ground, becomes the weather.
