Moving Ahead by Rhonda Maneki
Summer is not as stagnate
as you thought, flowers bloomed
The sky is as blue
as ever, and you're still
breathing...
Surprise!!
Life is moving ahead, even
without you wanting it too.
Autumn will be here,
you will still be
fighting Spring
off your mantle
of resistance.
I suspect by next
Spring, you will be all
caught up - since you will
be still clinging to
this Spring just past and a
year behind.
Oh,
It all makes sense to you
in that weird beautifully,
twisted philosophy of yours.
Ah,
You won't be missing anything,
but, life and living,
you may even catch
summer next year.
Life will move ahead,
within blinks of an eye,
while you're standing still.
And in a spark it's gone,
You never even noticed.

and they find themselves, sitting with a bunch of other seniors in some lonely McDonald's in some flea bitten town reminising about those 'good ole' days'.... one foot in the grave...
!!! lol !!!
