Recovering cardiac patient by Keith D AllisonTo ride among the fragments of time
Whirling… to inspire us
Yet sorrel hangs within the mind
Words created
Word Lost
This morning the body aches with pain
But yesterday the wind Dance upon cheeks
Peace so sweet
So…
Roll me over
In the Clover
That I might remember
the days
when I was young
That time
Before my heart trembled
To let me… know
it was Growing old
in a whisper of pain
So…
Roll me over
In the Clover
That I might remember
the days
when I was young
if the cardiac nurses
Shake their heads
And say he should have known better
Than the sixty mile bicycle ride
Please remind them
Too…
Roll me over
In the Clover
That I might remember
the days
when I was young 06/03/2007 Posted on 06/03/2007 Copyright © 2024 Keith D Allison

Posted by Rhyana Fisher on 06/03/07 at 08:58 PM enjoyable read. reminds me of what it was like working with the elderly. it was obvious in their eyes, expressions, and words how much they hated being caged in frail bodies. |

An old day passes, a new day arrives. The important thing is to make it meaningful: a meaningful friend - or a meaningful day. Well versed my friend. |
