river walk by Rhyana Fisherwide ribbon of foggy blue
drifting between
graduating greens
a rippled road
climbing to forever
at the horizon line
but i am too heavy
only imagination
steps lightly enough
to travel that highway
into the sky

Posted by Julie Adams on 01/29/10 at 10:27 AM I really liked this piece...the title drew me in, and the imagery found is picturesque...that first stanza feels like a scenic painting or photo of some small village highlands here in the UK...love where you take it, to the skies by the end...imagination indeed...kudos, peace, jewels |
