river walk

by Rhyana Fisher

wide ribbon of foggy blue
drifting between
graduating greens
a rippled road
climbing to forever
at the horizon line

but i am too heavy

only imagination
steps lightly enough
to travel that highway
into the sky

Author's Note: an average bit of writing. traveling a considerable amount, drove over the tennessee river several times and it seemed like something that needed writing about.

I really liked this piece...the title drew me in, and the imagery found is picturesque...that first stanza feels like a scenic painting or photo of some small village highlands here in the UK...love where you take it, to the skies by the end...imagination indeed...kudos, peace, jewels
