Without You

by Jeffrey Parren

Without you
A disconsolate existence it would be
and perhaps burying my life into work
may be good for a career
but a life it would not make,
without bearing children
nor getting married
would truly not suit me,
because I couldn't see myself
with anyone else,
except you.
