under our sun

by Peter Humphreys

the sun
pours
down
after
the storm
on the
willow
wandering
water
way
that's
now
so deep
it could hardly
float a coot
or swan
yet
from
this moss
growing quay
in times
gone past
you kissed me
deep
yes deep enough
to last
the memory
of the years
I pass
a swanless swan
beside
our
bank
under
our
sun

My heart is going boom-boom-boom and slightly aflutter with these beautifully romantic words. The flow and consonance are mah-vahlous, dahling!
