Young Spring Love

by Jeffrey Parren

It is through the rough times
that the good ones shine even brighter.

I am today who I was yesterday
and all the yesterdays before
gathered into one thing
molded and modified
exponentially
until I became something brilliant
even during and after sad times
where even most glorious of days
are ones that make you cry.

At some point there comes along
a person who you mold with too,
and the two of you become
this one entity that irradiates energy
to the point that all around can feel it.

Drawing stares and looks
while immersed in your own world
anew with hope and the future ahead,
young love in all its splendor.

An old couple dining
sitting a table over from a younger
newer couple,
remembering the ways they were,
reliving young spring love.

I hope they dig it. Nice work.

Love is indeed marvelous...but Jeff beware the fall.......keep one hand on the edge of the cliff just in case.
