Sail Upon My Magic Sea of Sound

by Tony Whitaker

my magic box
of frets and strings
plucking leads
from scales
into a wall
of sound
which cantonate
with chords
to fill these
flowing trails

a melody
emergent majors
stow the weight
minors and sevenths
carry the wind
a sail of song
each stroke of string
upon uncharted seas

I see the shore
the tune is done
I belt-out
and christen
a ~new~ song
cast off
asea with you

My brother is teaching himself to play. We've been listening to him pluck the famous chords of Iron Man for the last 2 weeks. ;) I really like the 2nd stanza of this piece. It has a great flow.
