I've become homesick by Amanda Conlogueyet, its not as you would imagine
not for some framed-in structure
the familiar trees in season
I miss the welcoming of, its you
the home I feel with you
peace I find in your fingers
skimming the surface of my skin
that create ripples radiating
concentric circles throughout
nerve endings, I can't sleep
a severed limb, the ache of separation
I still feel the twitch, muscle memory
I can't touch or escape it 05/20/2007 Posted on 05/21/2007 Copyright © 2025 Amanda Conlogue
