I am Sorry

by Maria Terezia Ferencz

I am sorry
sorry there were
not enough petals
or days to prove
our love

I am sorry
sorry there was not
enough desire or
need
to prove mine

I am sorry
sorry I had to
pick and pull
off every leaf
in our book of days

All the while
Caterwauling
in a sing song chant
of he loves me not

Wow Maria. Beautiful! And it looks like teardrops on two of the petals not plucked yet.

Oh how incredibly beautiful. This is a masterpiece of emotion.
This is
boundless
boundless
boundlessly meaningful.

Yeh - I'm bound to the image of no leaf being unpicked whilst unrequited pure-white petals cling to the futility of fertility...imagination successfully pollinated here Maria.

Yes. Extremely well done.
