This Is Not A Poem
by Jeffrey ParrenI wanted to write something
Only because I had wonderous feelings to extract
But alas, nothing of worth was connecting
My images of feelings to my images of images
So you see (well, you don't)
Oxymorons are for those who know how to use them
Like the word magician I say I am
To all the ladies (it doesn't work)
So, I now lay me down to sleep
Feeling the successful failure
On writing this poetry-filled non-poem
