For you to decide on desserts

For the desserts to arrive; with coffee
I wait
For you to finish

To pay the bill
I wait
For you to look at the bill
You wait
For me to pick up the payment
I wait
For the credit to check out
You wait
For me to come back
I wait
To see the tip, not optional
You wait
To leave the table for an extra 20 minutes
I wait
Anxiously, wanting another turn to do it all again

So when you complain
When you give me "complaints"
Just remember
We are both waiting
