"No Girls Allowed!"
"Boys ONLY!"

I couldn't help but notice
the fading wooden sign
as I crept up the ladder.

Since 1994, when I noticed girls
and their growing breasts,
it hung and weathered every storm.

The treehouse where boys were boys
full memories of boardgames,
toys, cookies and the innocence I lost along the way.

Now the pursuit of those not allowed
and the games they play occupy me,
I still do though, love those cookies.
