Nature The Nurturer

by Jeffrey Parren

Amongst the ever growing buildings
Reside random but necessary
Feats of nature
Though stature looms miniscule
The worth well outstretches the counterpart
Man would go crazy without
A waterfall, naturally man made
Commands homage

Whisking down a bumpy grade
Water soothes away aches of tomorrow
Visual moving painting, oh waterfall
You catch me staring
You don't mind
I'm lost in your natural nurturing
Nourishing my soul
Cleansing life's sins existing

If not for those rainy days or
Those days you're chained closed
Like a prisoner guilty of too much good
I might not recognize your ultra healing
Basking in your presence, you hold
Me with forgiving arms
You tell me to close my eyes
Washing my troubles away
