In Search Of

by Jeffrey Parren

Firstly:
If you know any of these women,
Let me know please. Please!
For it is she I seek.

Maybe a writer.
To share love of words, dictionaries, thesauri.
Some wacky days we forget about grammar,
run-on sentences bath in, we would.

Maybe a tattooed girl.
We can talk about our ink,
not only conversation starters
but things with actual meaning.

Maybe a short girl.
Petite and fun and flexible (a plus.)
Make me feel even bigger (not fatter.)
She wouldn't take up much bed space.

Maybe a tall girl.
Us together, legs all over the place,
competetive always, horsing around
until inevitable romantic endeavors.

Maybe the one.
Who completes my sentences.
Who holds my hand during tough times.
Who knows me, and still loves me for it.

This was beautiful! I was reading it in Leonard Nemoy's voice of course... The only "in search of" episode I remember...
In search of...
The Bimini Wall...
Your poem is most excellent in the voice of Mr. Spock.
