I eat you now
Oh so tasty slice of pizza
Before I rest for the night
Knowing the heartburn I will endure
In the coming hours of sleep
And most likely in waking too
Yet I don't care, because your bacon topping
Agrees with my tastebuds
Scarily similar to the relationship
Between brain and hormones
The latter wins the current battles
Oh pleasure to be had
While the brain deals with the agony later
