I revel in found items
observed and subtracted
from my mind on paper
from the situation of life.

I wrote "steam" instead of "stream"
I suppose a steam of consciousness
would make any vapor jealous
while giving new meaning

To the smoke from my ears
deep in thought, my brainstorming
thunderous lightning strikes
hitting dry branches of dentrites.

My nervous messages current across
membranes of mental pathways
conjuring thoughts of lives passed
and I reveal my innermost fears.

I am afraid of change. Afraid
of mistakes, typos, misspellings.
But this mispelled instance
has brought me so much pleasure.
