Bell Curve Of Life by Jeffrey ParrenI used my newfound freedom
to evoke memories of my youth.
When I was still a blank palette.
Life had not etched any pains
worthy of lifetime torture,
with flurries of red
and strokes of black,
so for now, if not for now on,
I become myself again,
leaving off where
the time continuum
of my life bell curved
and finally I have rejoined myself
again
to continue on the path
I was destined to finish,
only seven years later. 05/16/2007 Author's Note: Thanks for the word "evoke" Amy. Hope you like.

Posted by Kathleen Wilson on 05/16/07 at 04:44 PM Fine title and imagery, the span of vision, the perspective here is excellent, it is great to be able to have this overview and to express it so well in a poem this size! Excellent. It transmits the release and excitement, as well as satisfaction of seeing it this way. |
