Bell Curve Of Life

by Jeffrey Parren

I used my newfound freedom
to evoke memories of my youth.
When I was still a blank palette.
Life had not etched any pains
worthy of lifetime torture,
with flurries of red
and strokes of black,
so for now, if not for now on,
I become myself again,
leaving off where
the time continuum
of my life bell curved
and finally I have rejoined myself
again
to continue on the path
I was destined to finish,
only seven years later.

Fine title and imagery, the span of vision, the perspective here is excellent, it is great to be able to have this overview and to express it so well in a poem this size! Excellent. It transmits the release and excitement, as well as satisfaction of seeing it this way.
