I Have Yet To Have Poetic Kisses

by Joe Cramer

I have yet to have poetic kisses

That inspire me to pen even more.

I lick my lips in anticipation

Waiting for that fateful day

When she will indeed finally come my way.

I have yet to meet my muse

(Somehow, methinks its just a ruse)

So I watch and wait

For that kiss that will indeed

Inspire me, to aspire to write

Loftier poems even higher

Than I have ever done before.

Will your kiss leave me remiss?

Author's Note: To the myriad of failed relationships, and the poetry they inspire..... for all of those same kisses, while I expire...

between you and Paige Skeen, I'm having a difficult time keeping my mind on poetry...it keeps drifting to kissing. nicely written, dear sir.

I loved the title and the flow of this but I am one to believe every first kiss is a poetic kiss so I hope you have had many. smh

lol... loved the irony in this one.. aloha to you and yours.. some of our best work is borne out of utter frustration, heartbreak and despair... at least for me, that is... aloha..;-0

I love "to pen" and "even more". So much is spoken here, that it speaks an entire poem unto itself to me. Thanks.
