I never knew you
in either sense of the word,
but I wanted to.

And you deserve the form
of that first verse.
You were a force of nature.

I hope you're happy
wherever you are
and that faint haunted look
has left your eyes.

They would have been prettier
without it, even though
they were frighteningly charming
anyway.
