More for Maureen by A. Paige White I read of your tempest
where you're tossed by bodily failures
into the sea of well wishes and prayers
as you keep up your spirits
and I read of your soon first grandchild.
Oh, how that bends my knees in prayer for you
that God would grant you renewed strength
and stamina to bounce that baby;
The first grandchild.
They do things for you,
change our aging point of view.
There is magic in a grandchild
That no other does possess
Even jaded eyes covered by discovering and big eyed wonder
Take on textures new and the older reaffirmed
the lackluster gain a new sparkle
by the shared wonder of it all.
My prayers are with you, Maureen.
05/01/2007 Author's Note: More strength. More healing. More time. Please, dear God, let her bounce the baby and share the wondrous delight.

Posted by Charlie Morgan on 05/02/07 at 05:32 PM ...paige, such a wealth of emotion in words...so, so, so...something, like maria says...me, being the grandpa of a 11 month old preemie( who by the way "bounces" wonderfully!!!, and a daughter who had a bifurcated uterus (and i worry about the sun coming up in the east!), man you drape maureen with love THAT can be felt...i bow to your God-given human spirit and your expression of such humanness...much peace, chaz
