| Posted by Steven Kenworthy on 04/25/07 at 01:13 AM by far one of the most intelligent pieces written on this site in some time if not all time. i have read all of your works and this one soars in my opinion. i am flattened by the heavyness of the table scene, the perfectly placed words and powerful imagery of the bottle. the condensation says it all...that intricate detail truly sets the tone for the entire work. the growth you speak of in the poem could easily be doubled into duty at the table as well as the space between the two individuals seems to be multiplying with the rain in between. life is fractals though isn't it? what side of the prism do we choose to see them through is the question we have to answer as selecting persons. |
