My Petition by Alisa Jsif you listen, you will find me
between each layer of the songs we sang,
beside you in that flutter
seconds before surrendering
right there, with every heartbeat's skip
the voice you hear
in the quiet of our winter's bloom
a whisper sweet
among these tears now trailing soft,
and if you look real close
you'll see
reflections of a soul like yours ...
I would never leave
for you're an invitation to a silent prayer
taking flight on wings, they lift
how the angels do resist
at certain times, uncertain
to withstand my final wish ...

Posted by Jeffrey Parren on 04/20/07 at 06:42 AM the language and words are elegant, but I do find myself looking for more concretes into the story, maybe an explanation or more clues as to what is going on. ~JPP |
