Broken and Scattered by Alisa Jslisten to the leaves as there is a message
contained in the breath
of the wind as it whispers,
to such hearts that lay broken and scattered
around on the floor next to nothing that matters
those spirits still willing to reach
the voice in between
the rustling of leaves
as they pass ...
we know not the future
we have only this moment
to embrace,
life does send us changes
when we least expect
and finds us unwilling to remain
in this deluge,
torrents stream from our tormented souls
knocked sideways and slammed
by our silent shrieks
blocked in dreams from all those yesterdays
still raging from years of neglect,
we are guilty!
our futile attempts to mask the pain
find their way sloshing through valleys of regret ...
rise again to a new day
in time,
when the seasons do change
it will all come around again,
if we just let them ... 04/14/2007 Posted on 04/14/2007 Copyright © 2024 Alisa Js

Posted by Tony Whitaker on 04/15/07 at 08:48 AM Yes they will if we let them and we still live. I thought of Pink Floyd's 'Is There Anybody Out There' when I read this. |
