A Successful Clash

by Jeffrey Parren

Finding myself frozen in
life's submission hold
days and nights merge
sleep becomes constant
mimicing my college years
when my head was Rubik's,
no solution in sight.

When debt controls
goverment taxes heavier
customers get more rude
family members perish
all you want to do is revolt
against all that was known
to be good and right.

Until that very moment
when things come together
headway into adulthood
finding your personality
meeting the complete one
who gets you finally
and things get easier.

So then it is easy to deal
with govermental mentality
because love overpowers
the oppression that is allowed
the materialism portrayed
as the number one goal
for Americans to achieve.

Author's Note: I am not political by any means. But when you make more in one than you have three years combined and still make no headway into your debt, there has to be something wrong.

back lash of cash lack...clash... and the politikkers ride in their fine cars with entitlements and vote themselves semi-millionaires upon retirement. Yeah. And we - the average ants building these great paragons their pyramids - are richer than most average Joe's worldwide. Great write. Love and hominy make it bearable.
