Joy by Alisa Jsreflections of silent gentleness
soft and tender, not to miss
the quiet sighs that lay between
this evenings' test
as it tip-toes by
and remembers me ...
it's in the way birds dance and signal
so jubilantly,
with each uncovered morsel, sweet
among grains and treats
scattered across
by some caring soul,
compassion reigns supreme ...
I hear in your voice
and feel in your caress
rising full just under every word conceived,
reaching beyond these telephone lines
ever ready, yet waiting so very patiently
as not to disturb
not to distress,
or dare to detract
from the message your heart sends
melodies divine,
how glorious ...

Posted by Gabriel Ricard on 04/12/07 at 02:49 AM I really like the last stanza. This one feels a lot like an echo, a voice you hear in the distance. Much like the other one, but dealing in different, equally effective imagery. Nicely done. |
