The earth is flat. Whole cities are less than specks from the moon,
Less than a single unified light from the Milky Way.

This artificial naming system loses meaning. It gives purpose
To objects minuscule to any but us.

Money is flat. Gold and diamonds are dirt's imperfections. Trees are circular,
not toothbrush shaped. Mountains stop trying to rise from the terrain.

All wars are fought in two-dimensions; all strategies are nullified and mental games
unable to be created; all brain waves crash into each other before intelligent thoughts
are formed. When bullets penetrate, they rip right through the body.

Downfall is a phrase, not a motion; bruises, bumps, cuts, illnesses are all invisible.


she started laughing so wildly, her neck snapped in two.

another teenage mediocrity
another lawsuit
radical ideas forced into her head were the cause of her demise

oh well better get the body out, they said
and flattened her into the stone cold world
