Laurie Blum

by Joe Cramer

Laurie Blum joins me in my room

Just about every day.

I see her smile changing

In each new way.

It's almost as if her life

Were rearranging.

I so enjoy her written word

So heartfelt, such angst

Almost as if it were unheard.

I long to tell her as much,

Instead I make small talk

And pen large poems instead.

Laurie Blum comes to my room.
