dark harbingers

by Peter Humphreys

the stars
tonight
are drowned
by
the light
of a
full bright
moon
and
as we walk
that
darkling road
turned day
by
talk
and
sight
of a
river
sparkling
deep
you turn
to me
and I can
see
the nether
never
ending

bat flight
light night
the mystery
aknowing

we
touch

dark
harbingers
are
going

Your form always seems perfect for your content...this the "darkling road turned day by talk". I love the vital aand central to the poemtr, transforming "touch". Your delicate musical sense of word choice... "the nether never ending" is so beautiful.

Hi Peter. The gentle anticipation here is wonderful. I love your opening description of that night. Grand.
