"Who did what to whom." by W. Mahlon PurdinWho did what to whom.
That's the history of the world
In a nutshell.
Did they do nice?
Did they do bad?
And, what and why is the difference?
Who's on top and why?
Who's on the bottom and why?
It's a hen fight to appear
Stronger, weaker,
Bolder, meeker.
All for what?
The grave and the eternal shadow
Cast in a cemetery somewhere.
Here we stand,
Looking at the stone.
It casts a shadow at noon
At night it's dark and alone.
Oh, that the sun rises soon. 03/28/2007 Posted on 04/01/2007 Copyright © 2026 W. Mahlon Purdin

I do see the point of this, though, which simply reflects the pointlessness of it all. For all the politics, all the governments, all the secret societies that run things, in the end, what does it matter, really? |
