Of all things that I am,

I am a dreamer.

And I know that I am

Not the only one, the schemer

Of the vicarious life.

What's in it for me?

I search for my tomorrows

On every shore.

In the waves I can see

So many memories that have

Eluded me.

Of all that I know

My life is but a dim memory

Sailing away on the evening tide.

I dream onward,

Onward to this distant shore.
