Rivers of Tears by Rhonda Maneki
I cried rivers,
rivers became oceans.
oceans evaporated,
becoming rain
I cried more..
A shimmer of sun
peeked through clouds of
silver laden tears,
the sun was your voice,
a soothing lullaby.
Your soul shone
upon my own,
I stood raw and bare
within you.
Across miles,
your fingers
stroked my sobs,
into a gentle
crescendo of
weeping.
You kissed each tear,
You felt my pain as
I felt yours, so
vulnerable within you,
feeling both of us,
In our nakedness.
We held each other -
in honestly, openess,
a tender purity, care,
we held each other in love.
We grew.
My weeping became softer,
the world hushed when
you breathed life into me.
I'm your life,
You're mine
For without You
there would be
no tears,
no rain,
no oceans,
i would be a
desert of sorrows,
relentless emptiness,
drenched in lonely
sobs, each sob echoing
for eternity, into
the abyss of my soul.
Oh, my Love,
allow me my tears,
for i feel alive
for the first
time ever.
- I'm alive-
so very loved

Posted by Angela Nuzzo on 04/02/07 at 11:37 AM This is beautiful, Rhonda. I love the ending "Oh, my Love..." Sometimes a good cry is all we need to clear away the cobwebs and to see all the good we have in our lives. :) |
